First off I must put a note here regarding the following information. The Celtic Lunar zodiac that I have placed on this site is based upon the theories of Robert Graves based on the Poem "The Song of Amergin" which was orally passed on until which time it was transcribed, of a 13 month lunar calendar followed by the Celts and Druids. There is much dissension of this theory. Most Historians and Archeologists accept another calendar represented by fragments of a bronze plate. This calendar has been named the "Coligny Calendar" It depicts a system of time keeping by lunar months, showing 62 consecutive months with 2 extra months inserted to match the solar timetable. They appear to have worked with a 19-year time cycle that equaled 235 lunar months and had an error of only half a day There is also a third school of thought that combines the two theories believing that Graves system theories predate the Coligny calendar and that the Roman influences caused the Celts to modify their system as represented in the Coligny bronze plate.
Basically the reason we have no definitive answer to this comes down to the fact that the Celtic people and Druids as a whole relied on oral history keeping, as opposed to written. Thus much of the information we seek is not available for research. The information found written by the Celtic people does not begin until Roman and Christian influence infiltrated their society.
So with that said I leave it to you to use this information as you see fit.
The Druids of the Celtic lands followed a 13 sign lunar calendar and zodiac. The lunar basis is culturally appropriate due to the matrilineal society of the Celtic people. The Druidic religion was derived from an awareness of the natural and supernatural energies of the tree spirits, otherwise known as Dryads. Dryads also symbolized the female druidess's. The Druids associated their zodiac with the sacred trees which these dryads were drawn from. Each Celtic Tree/zodiac sign is associated with a letter from the Celtic three alphabet, as well as an archetypal character, planet, flower and gemstone.

Information on the Celtic Lunar Zodiac has been aquired from several publications by Helena Paterson. I highly recomend her books for further insight on this divination.
